Elco’s N series shaded pole motors range in power output from 5watts up to 34 watts. They are 4 pole (1250RPM), they are a simple design motor encased inside aluminium or thermoplastic end shields, the simple design gives a single speed motor which is inefficient in performance but is a relatively cheap product to produce.

The motors are generally ACW rotation with Class B insulation and IP ratings from IP20 to IP44. Some models have OEM specific plug in connectors whilst on the whole a flying lead is fitted, models are VDE, UL, CE or CSA approved.
These motors can be mounted in a multitude of orientations, end shield mount, side bracket mount, tapped holes, through bolts, mounting onto a ring or grid or even a pedestal bracket.
